Valerie Sheppard is passionate about helping people experience more happiness, fulfillment and success. Using the 4-step “Happy to Be ME!”© process she created from her own journey of personal transformation, her clients, ranging from 15-80 years old,  are overcoming limiting beliefs and fears, developing vision and focus, transcending difficult situations, reducing stress and mastering the Law of Attraction. She is a certified Sacred Contracts coach, and has been trained in compassionate communication, spiritual direction and HeartMath. In addition to running Hearts Awakening, Valerie continues her >30 year career in marketing, teaching it at the University of California, Irvine, and consulting to business clients.

Valerie is a 2012 nominee for both the Orange County Business Journal’s Women in Business Award, and the 2012 NAFE Rising Star Award. She is a co-author of the national best-seller, “Everything is Subject to Change,” has been published in award-winning 11:11™ Magazine and Ezine, and is a Featured Luminary on InspireMeToday.com™.  Her latest book, “Living Happy to Be ME!: Dance Your Soul Lightstyle©” is due out later this year.

Valerie holds an MBA from the Whitman School at Syracuse University, where she graduated with honors and received seven faculty awards for excellence.

 Anurag Asthana

Anurag Asthana is currently serving as the Executive Director & Member of the Board of Directors of Global Business Services, for the Hewlett Packard Company in Palo Alto, California. Prior to this, he was a business strategy consultant in the operations and technology group at Booz Allen & Hamilton, with functional expertise in strategy & transformation.  Prior to joining Booz Allen & Hamilton, he was a Product Manager at Progressive Corporation at its Headquarters in Mayfield, Ohio.  Anurag also served in the Special Operations Marine Core of the Indian Navy.

Anurag holds an M.B.A. degree in Corporate Strategy & Marketing from the Ross School of Business, at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where he received one of the five meritorious Full Term Fellowships. He also attended the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University where he studied Corporate Finance. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology with a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.  In addition to supporting the mission and vision of Hearts Awakening, Anurag sits on the Board of two other non-profits.

Don Hobbs

DonHobbs-HeadshotA visionary leader and seasoned business executive, Don Hobbs began his seminar career at the early age of 18 when he went to work for internationally renowned businessman and speaker, Jim Rohn, one of the true pioneers of the global personal development movement. In 1986, he co-founded Hobbs/Herder Advertising, an industry interrupter and leader in real estate marketing.

He also founded Hobbs/Herder Insurance Marketing Systems, Hobbs/Herder Training, JDG Real Estate and Development.  Don has served on boards of several other industry changers like Money Mastery for Life, iSucceed and NewKey Financial.

As a coach, trainer, speaker and business consultant since the mid 1970’s, Don has spoken to more than 1 million people. Articles by or about him have appeared in countless publications including The New York, The LA Times and countless real estate industry publications. In the real estate business, Realtor Magazine named Don, to their annual “Top 25 Most Influential People in Real Estate”.

John Wessels M.B.A., M.Div., Ph.D.


John Wessels is a Jungian analytical psychologist who also has expertise in finance relative to global economic, currency and investment/banking systems. John’s specialties include depth psychology, shadow healing, therapeutic and spiritual counselling for individuals and couples, financial consultations tailored to the 21st century, and astrological guidance for women who are trying to conceive, as well as Jungian archetype and spiritual life path analysis.

During his twenty four year career at Duke University, John served as Staff Director for the President’s Advisory Committee on Resources, an executive and board-level committee that provided oversight of the university’s $3 billion operating budget.

John holds B.A., M.B.A., M.Div., and Ph.D. degrees from Duke University. He graduated first in his class at the Fuqua School of Business, and was a Distinguished Fuqua Scholar.

Jeannie Whyte

JWhyte-HeadshotAfter 15 years of success in her career in the computer industry, including being named one of the top female businesswomen in the United States, Jeannie left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur in 1996. She started her own video production company that specialized in culturally accurate educational videos on social issues. She was awarded a commendation from Montgomery County, Maryland for her work with the Hispanic community. Jeannie also was named “Volunteer of the Month” after several visits to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. She conducted healing workshops with displaced residents, volunteers, and the social workers of the United Way and the Salvation Army.

Her focus since 1979 has been to actively pursue her spiritual purpose, and Jeannie was guided to spiritual mentors who guided her to develop her psychic and intuitive abilities. After doing thousands of readings/healings, Jeannie realized she’d developed her own safe and effective techniques to help others activate their psychic and intuitive powers.

Today, Jeannie has a full-time practice offering classes, healing workshops, and psychic readings. In addition, she is a practitioner and study group leader of Matrix Energetics, a Usui Tibetan Reiki Master, a Third Degree Usui Reiki Practitioner, and an Arching Radial Light Practitioner.
